BOE holds Innovation Partner Conference 2026, navigating new industrial landscape through optronics integration

BOE

BEIJING, Sept. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The BOE Innovation Partner Conference 2026 (BOE IPC 2026) opened in China National Convention Center Phase II on September 22, with the theme of "Display for Interaction, Optronics for Tomorrow." As the ninth edition of BOE's flagship global event for display and technology innovation, this year's conference set new records in terms of venue scale, guest lineup, attendance, number of product debuts, and exhibition area. Over the six-day event, BOE hosted more than ten forums alongside a series of innovation activities including the IPC Open Innovation Forum, AI Hackathon, and Esports Carnival. BOE also unveiled its new corporate positioning and strategic roadmap for the next two decades, setting the course for technological iteration across the industry and powering the intelligent connectivity ecosystem.

The main forum brings together a cohort of experts and leaders from academia and industry, including Kevin Kelly, renowned futurist and founding editor of Wired magazine; Wu Huaqiang, professor at Tsinghua University's School of Integrated Circuits; and Spenser Pan, Senior Vice President and President of AMD Greater China. They shared keen insights on key topics such as the AI wave, breakthroughs in computing power, and terminal ecosystem innovation.

New corporate positioning, new vision for development

In his keynote speech, Chen Yanshun, Chairman of BOE, talked about how AI is penetrating everyday life, transforming production methods, and powering the growth of industrial scale. He noted that optronics integration is the technology powering the intelligent era, and has been present throughout BOE's development journey. With over two decades of technical accumulation, BOE has built three core strengths in display, glass-based substrate processing, and large-scale integrated smart manufacturing, while continuously pioneering new technologies and introducing new business lines. Guided by the "Nth curve" theory, it has made new headway in multiple business curves, driving spiral growth. In response to the changing times, BOE has repositioned itself as "a global leader in technology innovation, enabling intelligent connectivity through optoelectronics integration." Its long-term 20-year strategic path of "Display for Interaction" involves five parallel stages: "Display as Terminal," "Display as System," "Display as Platform," "Display as Ecosystem," and "Display Connects Everything." BOE stands ready to work with global partners to pool industrial synergy, build upon the foundation of optronics integration, embark on a journey of value upgrading, and build a better future of intelligent connectivity.

Guided by its "Display for Interaction" strategy and "Nth curve" theory, the global leader in technology innovation is bringing display technology to more emerging fields. At the event, BOE joined hands with South China University of Technology, SEMI, China Optics and Optoelectronics Manufacturers Association LCB, AMD, Hisense, AOC, Corning, Arashi Vision Inc., XPeng, and Jabra, to launch the "Optronics for Tomorrow" Industry Initiative, aiming to build industrial foundations, extend industrial boundaries, and embrace intelligent connectivity through optronics integration.

Debut of cutting-edge technologies, ecosystem synergy for industrial growth

This year's IPC features dedicated exhibition zones for Optronics Integration, AI+, Sustainable Development, and Partners, offering attendees a one-stop immersive experience with cutting-edge technologies.

In the Optronics Integration exhibition zone, BOE debuts pioneering display technologies under its three technology brands. In terms of ADS Pro, the 85-inch RGBX Ultra TV is definitely a magnet. The TV features the industry‑first dual‑quad‑primary‑color architecture of "RGBC panel + RGBC BLU," coupled with an intelligent color conversion algorithm. It achieves 130% BT.2020 color gamut coverage. The globally launched 31.5-inch 8K UB Cell monitor supports switching between 8K at 120Hz and 4K at 240Hz, seamlessly integrating 8K resolution with precision local dimming. In terms of f-OLED, BOE showcases its transparent OLED display, which conforms to the industry's first image quality evaluation standard that combines subjective and objective methodologies. This technology received Pantone Validated certification for its excellent color performance, the first and only one in China's display industry. Through material and structural optimizations, the Glaze OLED Display has a module crease depth of less than 100μm and a crease slope below 20 μm/mm, both down 60%. Its mechanical strength increases by 50%. The display can withstand over 50,000 folding cycles at -40°C, and has been officially certified with the SGS High Creaseless Performance Mark. As to a-MLED, the 135-inch P0.7 Micro LED display achieves a peak brightness of 3,000 nits with a module thickness of only 7mm, setting a new benchmark for slim and lightweight commercial large-format displays.

Optronics integration is a key highlight of this conference. The 2.8m2 standard perovskite PV module has passed the double 85 test and 1000-hour 85°C MPPT test for stability, and obtained TÜV Rheinland certification to IEC 61215 and IEC 61730. China's first national standard in the field of perovskite PV, with BOE Solar Technology as a main drafting organization, was released recently. BOE brings its latest ultra-large glass core substrate based on Through Glass Via (TGV) technology. This substrate supports advanced packaging for AI and high-performance computing chips, addressing the challenges of warpage and insufficient routing in large-size substrates. BOE also showcases its Micro LED Optical Interconnect System Link and a functional prototype for Micro LED short-reach optical interconnects, demonstrating its technical capabilities in optronics integration.

In the AI+ exhibition zone, BOE presents an array of innovative scenarios spanning AI's underlying capabilities to real-world applications. Powered by the BOE Blue Whale Display Large Model, the AI Factory sets an example for full-chain smart manufacturing, the AI Lab drives a paradigm shift in fundamental display R&D, and multi-domain AI agents empower various scenarios such as work, entertainment, and healthcare. From building great displays to making displays smarter to bringing AI into everyday work and life, BOE is advancing its "AI+ " strategy to drive AI from isolated applications to all-domain intelligence, providing a model for AI integration across manufacturing, product innovation, and enterprise operations.

BOE also presents its sustainable development philosophy and practices. Based on the industry's first sustainability brand "ONE" (Open Next Earth), the company keeps exploring pathways to integrate technological innovation and sustainable development. In the Intelligent Connectivity exhibition zone, BOE showcases innovative applications in production, everyday life, mobility, and city scenarios. The Partners exhibition zone features a legion of BOE-powered devices from ecosystem partners like Corning, vivo, AOC, and Skyworth, demonstrating the value of collaborative innovation to empower various industries with display technology.

Guided by the "Nth curve" theory, BOE will deepen the "Display for Interaction" strategy and continue working with global partners to explore new applications of optoelectronic technology and lead the industry toward higher-quality development.
